Ludeo’s vision is to become the world’s first playable social media platform for gamers where they can frictionlessly discover gaming content.


About the role

The Vertical Lead, Digital Marketing at Ludeo will possess the ability to build, scale and sustain Ludeo’s and our partners’ gaming communities using community-building strategies, digital marketing activations and capitalizing on the latest social media marketing trends to successfully promote Ludeo to game studios, publishers, and gamers alike. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills, as well as an ability to foster positive relationships with individuals, teams and organizations. This position is one of the principal ambassadors for the company. Working directly with the CMO, this person is expected to participate in the strategy, execute with minimal supervision, and be flexible enough to adjust campaigns on the fly. This position is based in our HQ in El Segundo, Ca and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.


What you'll do

  • Engage gaming communities with innovative Ludeo technology to enhance gaming experiences and game discovery.
  • Build and maintain B2C programs with AAA and Indie game developers and publishers.
  • Create best practices for gaming partners, including AAA and Indie developers.
  • Develop a strategy for impactful programs and activities within the Ludeo community.
  • Create parallel B2B and B2C messaging to attract awareness among game developers and their communities.
  • Manage dual responsibilities for Ludeons (content consumers) and game studios/publishers.
  • Serve as the principal ambassador for the company, sharing its vision globally and demoing technology.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist with their professional development.
  • Build a relationship with the CMO and assist in developing Ludeo marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics.
  • Coordinate programs with the Influencer Team and partner with the Player Success team.
  • Draft and distribute communications promoting the company and its individuals/groups.
  • Attend events to represent the company and build strong community relationships.
  • Respond to inquiries and recruit knowledgeable spokespeople when needed.
  • Promote cross-functional relationships within the company.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute public press conferences with third-party PR agencies as necessary.
  • Manage social media content and virtual groups to enhance the company’s online profile

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in creative, marketing, public relations, and/or communications
  • A minimum of 5-7+ years of managing core game communities, moderating social media accounts and content creators along with experience launching core video games is strongly preferred.
  • A consistent track record of developing well-reasoned, strategic plans and executing to completion.
  • Knowledge of video games - especially strategy, shooter, story, action, and arcade games.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to build strong, productive professional relationships with cross-functional collaborative partners.
  • Proven ability to work with third-party agencies and talent relations professionals.
  • Expert knowledge of all global social platforms and their nuances: TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Threads, FB, Snapchat, Giphy, Discord, X, Reddit
  • Familiarity with social listening, video analytics, and creator marketing tools such as: Spiketrap, Synthesio, Tubular, StreamHatchet, and CreatorIQ.
