Sales Support Specialist

Locations: Kansas City, MO; Braintree, MA | Hybrid

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment alongside seasoned sales and client relationship professionals with a common goal of supporting revenue generating opportunities. You will be responsible for facilitating Request for Proposals (RFPs), developing presentation agendas and content, understanding corporate statistics and enterprise policies, providing CRM application support, and more. This role is in the Global Sales Operations team supporting solution sales across multiple business units and sales teams. What You Will Get To Do:

  • Work directly with sales and client relationship teams to support sales cycle activities for solutions supported by multiple business areas at SS&C.
  • Utilize your project management skills, incorporating flexibility for short- and long-term projects with varying deliverables.
  • Support the initial target markets for this role of asset management and retirement, specifically for traditional and alternatives fund administration and transfer agency recordkeeping, and retirement plan recordkeeping for plan sponsors and participants. If you do not know what these are, how about mutual funds, alternative investments, retirement wellness, customer service operations & transaction processing, business process automation? We get to learn and write about these topics and more.
  • Learn about SS&C from the top as proposals and presentations require content about business continuity, information security, policies and certifications. Also learn about SS&C solutions and the broad range of technologies and service options supported – there’s no chance of being bored if you are curious!
  • Specific responsibilities can include project management of RFI/RFPs; proposal content development; sales tool administration; presentation and meeting coordination; CRM administration.

What You Will Bring:

  • A strong attention to detail. If you can spot misspellings and strive to produce high quality output – please apply!
  • An interactive and communicative personality to meld with your direct team and project participants. Pleasant and professional qualities are equally important.
  • Prior exposure to the sales cycle, sales or customer support, or proposal writing welcome for experience sharing; this can help us affirm or update our best practices.
  • Prior experience with one or more of the responsibilities listed above is preferred. Training and co-leading with a team member will be supported for unfamiliar responsibilities.
  • High level of confidence working with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams. Also call out if you have experience with a RFP project application, such as Loopio.
