Job Description
The Video Streaming Specialist (VSS) role at Google's gTech Professional Services focuses on supporting Google's largest video and broadcaster partners in the realm of Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) and ad serving for OTT streaming. VSS team members collaborate with clients and internal teams (Business, Product, Engineering) to support Google's video product suite, handling live events and video-on-demand. Responsibilities include delivering solutions to video publishers, optimizing business growth by leveraging Google technologies, providing support for DAI, ensuring prompt resolution of customer issues, improving product offerings via feedback, and providing timely project updates to internal and external stakeholders. This role requires expertise in OTT streaming, troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- System design or programming experience (Java, C++, Python)
- Technical troubleshooting and partner management
- Deliver solutions to video publishers
- Support Google's DAI business
Good to have:
- Experience supporting broadcasters in live streaming
- OTT streaming device troubleshooting experience
- Communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in system design or in programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in supporting broadcasters in live streaming or developer operations positions.
- Experience troubleshooting Over-the-Top (OTT) steaming devices.
- Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.

Video Streaming Specialists (VSS) team members interact with customers and Google’s Business, Product and Engineering teams to support Google’s suite of video products. Responsibilities
- Deliver solutions to video publishers.
- Identify, drive, and optimize business growth from partners and ad-networks by leveraging Google technologies.
- Provide support for Google’s Dynamic Ad Insertion business as part of a global team to ensure prompt and proper resolution of customer impacting technical tests.
- Improve product offerings by providing feedback on customer and serviceability needs to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
- Provide internal and external stakeholders with appropriate, timely, and accurate customer and project status updates.
