POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief Quad Cities is seeking qualified applicants for a full time Wellness Program Specialist WRQC assist clients resettled in the Quad Cities. The Program Specialist will provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support to clients through interpretation for World Relief Wellness Program health services, community outreach, and referrals/education as needed. The specialist will support wellness group coordination and interpretation, complete refugee health screeners with client populations, and assist with other tasks for the program as needed.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordinate with clients utilizing interpretation/translation in clients preferred language
- Document client notes in database accurately and efficiently
- Make referrals to WRQC Refugee Wellness Program or other support services as needed
- Meet with Wellness Manager biweekly to review goals and outcomes
- Serve as an interpreter and/or translator of documents as needed
- Complete wellness program evaluations with active clients
- Provide support to other wellness program initiatives as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Experience working with refugees and immigrants in some capacity preferred
- Strong English communication skills required
- Second language fluency preferred (Swahili, Dari, Pashto, Zo Chin, Hakka Chin, etc)
- Desire to work and assist immigrants and refugees in local community
- Ability to drive World Relief vehicles, drivers license and clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Technical skills utilizing Excel, Google Forms, and other databases systems that are appropriate
- Communication skills (oral and written) to provide direct services to refugee and immigrant clients
- Interpersonal skills to navigate challenging conversations
- Organizational skills related to time management, meeting deadlines, and reporting practices
- Ability to set and keep boundaries and confidentiality to comply with HIPPA
- Ability to communicate through interpretation
$19 - $19.50 an hour
