Job Description

A 3D Animator at ETHOSH will interpret concept art into 3D models and create moving images using CGI software. Responsibilities include liaising with artists, identifying key scenes, transforming storyboards into animated sequences, animating characters and objects, developing animation composites, integrating sound and effects, collaborating with compositors, and working to tight deadlines. The role requires strong artistic skills, understanding of animation principles, acting techniques, and visual storytelling. Experience with character rigging and specific software is essential.

Must have:

3D Animation, Hard surface animation, Character Animation
Rigging and Skinning
Blender 3D, Maya experience
Strong artistic skills, visual storytelling
Understanding of animation principles, acting techniques

Good to have:

Blender / 3Ds Max
Unreal, Morph Targets, Blend Shapes
Coordination with programmers, designers, and artists

Location: Pune (On site)

Software - Blender 3D. Candidates with experience in Maya

Experience: 2-5 years

About the Job

A 3D Animator interprets concept art into its three-dimensional realization and creates moving images using digital models via CGI software. They may be asked to create animation and special effects for film, television, video games, advertisements, websites, etc.

The responsibilities of a 3D Animator may include:

Liaising with animators and concept artists regarding the requirements of the project
Identifying key scenes and sequences
Transforming storyboards into animated sequences
Animating characters, creatures, props, vehicles, weapons, objects, etc
Developing animation composites
Working to a tight schedule
Integrating sound, sync dialogue and add sound effects to visuals
Collaborating with compositors to deliver all assets required for final render
Applying motion capture to animation

Requirement:

Strong artistic skills
Ability to visualize 3D iterations of two-dimensional sketches and artwork
Good instinct for timing, movement, editing cuts
Understanding of acting techniques, cinematography, interactive storytelling and graphic art
Understanding of movement of limbs, the effect of weight, and the behavior of skin and flesh
Talent for visual storytelling
Knowledge of film and animation genres, and ability to create within their styles
Advanced concept of visual language - perspective, point of view, proportion, composition, framing, etc
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
Basic understanding of aesthetics of visual communication
Knowledge of character rigging
