POSITION SUMMARY

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is looking for a passionate Associate Bilingual Specialist (Contract) to help review and elevate our exciting IP. You will be responsible for supporting epic projects to ensure games are released with the highest regards to quality. We expect you to get hands on, play the game, review texts, listen to incoming VO, and otherwise help own the game’s linguistic quality from start to finish! You will be working closely with the Producers on our team to release the best games possible.

This is a 12 month contract position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and utilize knowledge of first party requirements
  • Review and organize English recording scripts
  • Assist the Producers in preparing localized assets, including creation and maintenance of glossaries and translation memories, as well as executing voice recording sessions
  • Provide ad-hoc translations and actionable feedback on the state of the localized product
  • Be able to audit localization quality and provide actionable feedback
  • Assist the Producers in preparing as well as executing voice recording sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • N1 or equivalent level of Japanese proficiency
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English and capable of fluently conversing in both
  • Experience in auditing localization quality and providing feedback
  • Experience in the world of localization, preferably the video game industry
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and XLOC (preferred)

Salary Range:

$53,000 - 84,000
