As an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer with Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be the primary point of contact for guests needing assistance with their vehicles. Your role involves guiding guests through the entire repair process, ensuring they are informed about their vehicle's status and are satisfied with the service received. You will build strong relationships with guests, effectively communicate repair solutions, manage workflow efficiently, and consistently sell services with honesty and integrity. Key responsibilities include greeting guests hospitably, presenting repair solutions clearly, managing store workflow, maintaining a positive team atmosphere, communicating professionally by phone, building long-term guest relationships, directing customer service activities, shuttling guests, ensuring repair specifications are met, and assisting team members as needed. The role requires a dependable and reliable individual who can maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
Must have:
  • Current driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency in Windows software
  • Automotive customer service experience
  • Service sales experience
  • Ability to stand/walk most of the workday
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs occasionally
  • Dependable and reliable

Job Overview:

As an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer with Christian Brothers Automotive, you are the person that our guests look to when they need help with their vehicle. You are the person that our guests see every time they make an investment into their vehicle, because of these reasons you play a large role in building relationships with our guests.  

Service Advisors have the responsibility of taking our guest through the entire repair process, keeping them informed of the status of their vehicle and ensuring their satisfaction before they leave our facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet every guest that enters our facility with hospitality and respect
  • Present the best solution to properly repair our guest's vehicle in a way that is easy for them to understand
  • Manage the store’s workflow in an effective and efficient manner
  • Consistently and effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity
  • Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere at all times
  • Communicate on the phone in a clear professional manner
  • Build long-term relationships between the store, yourself and the guest
  • Directs, coordinates, and participates in performing customer service activities
  • Shuttle guests as needed
  • Ensure that all repairs are performed to proper specifications.
  • Work together as a team and assist other employees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current driver’s licenses
  • Driving record acceptable to our current insurance carrier
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive customer service preferred
  • Proficiency in Windows based computer software and automotive store applications
  • Experience in Automotive Customer Service and Service sales
  • Associates degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
  • Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
  • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
