Key Responsibilities:
- AWS Administration: Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure with a focus on Windows-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- System Administration: Administer and troubleshoot Windows servers, perform backups, and manage EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and snapshots for backup and restoration.
- Cost Management: Optimize AWS costs through effective use of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and cost management tools. Monitor and manage AWS budgets and expenditures.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and permissions, ensuring secure access control. Administer IAM Identity Center for centralized user and group management.
- Security & Governance: Enforce security best practices across AWS resources, including implementing security policies, managing compliance, and performing regular security patching.
- Pipeline Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity for builds and Octopus Deploy for deployments.
- Monitoring & Performance Management: Implement and maintain monitoring tools like New Relic to ensure system health, performance, and availability.
- Networking: Oversee network configurations, VPCs, security groups, and ensure proper connectivity between AWS resources.
- General Automation: Create automation scripts using PowerShell and Terraform to improve system efficiency, deployment processes, and reduce manual tasks.
- Backup and Restore: Implement backup and restore processes for EC2 instances, including EBS volume snapshots and recovery plans.
- SQL Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL for interacting with databases and assisting in data retrieval or reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Communication: Good Communication skills both Oral and Written is must.
