Kavaliro is seeking a CAD Technician to support a client onsite in Orlando, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and update mechanical and electrical system drawings using AutoCAD.
Create, maintain, and update mechanical and electrical system drawings using AutoCAD.
Review and edit detailed drawings, plans, and maps.
Export, archive, and import drawing files from engineers.
Conduct field investigations to verify existing plant structures.
Establish design plan permits using AutoCAD.
Maintain quality assurance and control of Autodesk Vault data management system.
Coordinate the exchange of data with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide accurate and timely information to peers, field personnel, and supervisors.
Perform quality control checks on new CAD data.
Train and support less experienced CAD personnel.
Perform other duties as directed.
Technical Skills and Requirements:
Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault.
Ability to create, update, and manage engineering drawings, including:
Mechanical, Structural, and Civil Engineering Drawings
Electrical and Control Diagrams
Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Operational and Maintenance Maps and Manuals
Understanding of drawing standards, documentation processes, and safety procedures.
Experience using relevant software applications such as:
AutoCAD
Autodesk Vault (drawing database)
Footprints
ePets
ArcMap
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and perform arithmetic calculations accurately.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Familiarity with standard office equipment (computer, telephone, copier, etc.).
Experience Required:
Minimum of three (3) years in a CAD designing/drafting role.
Demonstrated experience in handling and maintaining engineering documentation and drawings.
Working knowledge of industry regulations, departmental policies, and safety procedures.
