Character Technical Artist

We are currently seeking a 3D Tech Artist to join a dynamic team with one of our premier clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the creation of simulation art assets, blending cutting-edge technology with creative vision.

As a 3D Tech Artist, you will play a key role in developing realistic character models and working on high-impact simulation projects. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to drive innovation and contribute to AIML-based features that redefine technology and creativity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, realistic character models, including meshes, materials, and blend shapes.
• Utilize pipeline and asset generation tools to create and diversify character models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance tools and integrate new rendering and materials generation techniques.
• Contribute to high-impact simulation projects, enabling AIML-based features and products.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Character Modeler in animation, VFX, or video games.
• Proficiency in modern human character modeling, including digital sculpting, mesh topology, and anatomy-based rigging.
• Strong skills in shading, lighting, texturing, and materials.
• Experience with Maya, Houdini, or similar DCCs programming APIs.
• Intermediate to advanced Python skills for data creation and manipulation in formats like JSON.

Bonus Skills:

• Expertise in designing digital asset pipelines for large-scale character generation.
• Experience with hair/fur systems such as XGen or Houdini Groom.
• Familiarity with USD format and tools.
• C++ programming experience.
