Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer with experience in data center switching and routing, WAN technologies, cloud networking, and infrastructure as code. You will be responsible for day-to-day support and advancement of our global network infrastructure. Must have experience with Cisco Nexus data center switching, Cisco Catalyst switching concepts, BGP and OSPF routing protocols, and cloud networking in Azure and AWS.

What You Will Do In This Role

Have the responsibility for day-to-day support and advancement of our global network infrastructure, which includes areas such as:

Data Center Switching and Routing as well as Campus Switching and Routing

WAN technologies such as SD-WAN and IPsec VPN

Remote Access VPN

Cloud networking

Network infrastructure as code with Python, Ansible and Terraform.

Network Management, Monitoring, Alerting and Logging

Monitor network utilization and performance.

Troubleshoot and escalate appropriately upon network incidents.

Multi-task efforts that may include other providers.

Document technical engineering procedures for use by other members of the IT Infrastructure team.

Contribute to roadmap, architectural direction, and continuous improvement.

Communicate proactively about opportunities, expectations, timelines, risks, and issues.

Perform knowledge transfer to other members of the IT Infrastructure Team.

Assist in vendor negotiations and the RFP/RFI process.

Act as a resource for others at peer or above level; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on developing solutions; exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

To be successful in this role we need someone who has:

BE or BTech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.

Classic Network Engineering experience

Understanding of Cisco Nexus data center switching and Cisco Catalyst switching concepts

Understanding, deployment, and troubleshooting experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.

Cloud networking experience

Understanding of fundamental networking concepts in Azure as well as relevant experience

Understanding of fundamental networking concepts in AWS as well as relevant experience

Infrastructure as code experience

Experience with Git and GitHub

Experience with Linux shell and Python

Experience with Ansible and Terraform

Able to work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Exceptional ability and solid desire to learn new skills

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have:

Holding Azure or AWS network certification

Holding Linux certification

Holding CCNA or CCNP certification
