Communications Specialist

We’re looking to hire a Communications Specialist (part-time) for a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical client. Our direct Fortune 500 client is a full service in-house creative agency looking for someone to join the Communications team to develop a variety of communication materials, including leader and event presentations, employee emails, internal articles, key messages, and social media content.

This is a 7-12 – month contract + possible extension. The team is located in North Chicago, IL, and the role is hybrid on-site with flexible schedule. 25-30 hours per week. Would need to have availability for calls and meetings from 9-3 p.m. CST. Onward Search provides weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.

Communications Specialist (part-time) Responsibilities: 

• Creates communication plans with defined objectives, timelines, and deliverables, crafting supporting key messages and narratives.
• Leads the creation of engaging video content and digital storytelling initiatives with a creative and employee-centric approach.
• Collaborates with external agencies to manage cross-Operations communication projects.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong organizational and program management abilities.
• Guarantees consistent and brand-aligned communications that reflect the company's corporate and employer identity, strategy, philosophies, and practices.

Communications Specialist (part-time) Requirements: 

• 3+ years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar
• Develops and executes impactful digital storytelling strategies.
• Generates innovative social media concepts and creates engaging content.
• Manages projects effectively with strong organizational abilities.
