We’re currently seeking a Compliance Reporting Associate for a prominent Fortune 500 Fintech client. This fully remote, 12-month contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to an innovative, fast-paced analytics team based in California.
About the Opportunity:
As a Compliance Reporting Associate, you will play a key role in supporting global efforts to meet critical BSA/AML regulations. You’ll leverage advanced SQL skills to design, build, and maintain reporting dashboards, while ensuring regulatory compliance across KYC, customer screening, and transaction monitoring processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional looking to make an impact on the operations of a leading Fintech company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the analytics team to build and maintain systems that ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations on a global scale.
- Utilize advanced SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from regulatory and internal systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards, presenting insights through data visualizations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop compliance reports related to KYC, customer screening, and transaction monitoring, ensuring full adherence to regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of robust data governance practices, focusing on data quality and documentation.
- Translate complex reporting requirements into clear, actionable items, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Implement rigorous QA processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data and reports.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while working cross-functionally to deliver results.
- Develop clear and concise documentation to support regulatory reviews and audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of data analysis or reporting experience, ideally within financial services, consulting, or technology industries.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Redash, Looker).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- In-depth understanding of compliance, transaction monitoring, KYC, and risk rating practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GitHub, Airflow, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
- Familiarity with external examiner and regulator interactions.
