CMI Management LLC, now part of Dexterra Group, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their CMI Facilities Management division. The Controller will be responsible for leading monthly close activities, full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory frameworks, including DCAA. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, invoicing, cash flow, supporting audits, and partnering with operations to identify financial risks and opportunities. The ideal candidate will utilize ERP systems like Deltek Costpoint for reporting and analysis.
Must have:
  • CPA designation
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of financial accounting and analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Experience with government contract types
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Familiarity with DCAA regulations
Good to have:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with indirect rate structures
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Controller to join the Dexterra team and support our CMI Facilities Management division. 

WHAT IS THE JOB

The Controller will lead monthly close activities, full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with internal controls and external regulatory frameworks, including DCAA.

This role reports to the Director of Finance, with a dotted line to the EVP, Operations, and is essential in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly close processes and full-cycle accounting, including payroll and invoicing.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and support the AP team.
  • Manage weekly cash flow tracking and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, including DCAA compliance.
  • Partner with operations to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation in financial processes.
  • Utilize ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint) for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • CPA designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and government contract types (T&M, FFP, CPFF).
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with DCAA regulations and indirect rate structures.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, decentralized environment.
