This Data Analyst Internship in Lending Risk at Super.com focuses on balancing credit risk with affordable lending products. The role involves interacting with innovative lending solutions, using data to drive business strategies, assisting in the development and implementation of solutions influencing business decisions, coordinating with vendors to enhance processes and offerings, analyzing vendor performance, identifying and managing risks, applying analytical techniques to assess loan performance, and participating in credit risk strategy development. The intern will work with large datasets, requiring skills in data cleaning, manipulation, SQL, Python/R, and familiarity with analytics tools like Looker, Amplitude, DBT, and Snowflake.

About the Role
Welcome to the rocket ship! This role will be tasked to find the balance between maintaining credit risk and providing affordable lending products to our customers. Additionally, this role will interact with some of the most innovative solutions in the lending industry and get to learn how to use data to drive strategies in the business. Come and ride with us!
Challenges You’ll Solve
- The Intern assists with the development and implementation of solutions to influence business decisions for relevant line(s) of business
- Coordinates with vendors/partners to to enhance our existing processes and product offerings
- Analyzes performance results from potential vendors/partners to evaluate efficacy of existing processes and product offerings
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
- Applies programming and analytical techniques to assess loan performance data
- Participates in the development and implementation of credit risk strategies as a team resource
- Under general supervision, analyzes credit trends or variances and provides results for root cause analyses
About You
- You can pull, clean and manipulate large sets of complex data to turn them into stories that business stakeholders can understand
- You can write SQL queries and perform data analysis with Python and/or R, and know your way around analytics tools (Looker, amplitude, DBT and/or snowflake)
- You are naturally curious and have a solid understanding of common statistical methods and real world applications
