Team

The Marketing Data Science Team is a lean team, a part of bigger Supercell’s Data, Analytics & Insights Team that supports the whole Supercell's Marketing and enables the company to invest and grow at an immense scale. We provide data and technology to maintain the scale required to grow inside the chart of top 10 mobile games publishers.


The team provides services to the entire Supercell in a variety of domains with data models, attribution, measurement, analytics and data science support.


Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our Marketing Data team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for providing advanced data and tech support to help us invest our performance marketing budget more efficiently by developing dynamic data pipelines, trustworthy data models, and automating the work of the team.


Collaborating closely with the core data and game teams, you will work on data integrations, marketing data pipelines, and respective infrastructure development. Along with that you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of the team’s data applications, as well as ML models and BI tools. However, this role is not focused on dashboarding or ad-hoc analysis on request.


Additionally, we expect you to have experience with marketing data integrations and a strong understanding of modern data modeling concepts and practicalities. It would be a plus if you have previously led data engineering initiatives and understand the challenges and demands of performance marketing and user acquisition technologies and mobile games companies' data at scale.


An ideal profile for this role is a Data Engineer or a Software Engineer with a passion for marketing data and a strong interest in the mobile games’ performance marketing technologies. 



Responsibilities

  • Automation of performance marketing processes.
  • Design and development of data models, pipelines, and data transformations to support user acquisition.
  • Advocate for marketing technologies, pipelines and datasets value and quality.
  • Ensure marketing data engineering priorities are aligned with the company’s data ecosystem development.


Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of Python and SQL. Java knowledge is a big plus.
  • Track record of maintaining large-scale ETL processes.
  • Experience with AWS data stack, familiarity with large-scale data warehouse technologies (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Spark, Spark Streaming).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and orchestration tools.
  • Ability to comfortably work in an international, fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating organization.
  • Passion for games and improving player experience.
  • Proactivity and a curious mind.
