Nowadays, we're on the hunt for a dynamic Data Protection Assistant to join our team!

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Protection Assistant who will work with the DPO to help ensure our data practices comply with privacy laws. You’ll work closely with internal teams to review data processing activities, support impact assessments, and maintain our privacy governance framework. You’ll also assist with managing rights requests, handling data protection incidents, and keeping records up to date. If you're passionate about data privacy, we’d love to have you on board!

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with legislation, including developing templates for data collection, advising on and assisting with data mapping and records of data processing.

  • Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of operations and projects and related data processing to ensure compliance with data privacy laws, and where necessary, advising on and monitoring data protection impact assessments and assisting with internal audits.

  • Serving as a point of contact, supporting and advising on issues of compliance and other data protection related queries.

  • Reviewing third party processing and data sharing agreements.

  • Assisting with ongoing reviews of the organisation’s privacy governance framework and regular and ad-hoc reporting on data privacy compliance.

  • Collaborating with the DPO to develop and maintain all records as required by regulation and to ensure timely remediation of data protection related incidents including DPIAs, data breach response, complaints, claims or notifications.

  • Managing rights requests.

  • Taking meeting minutes


Requirements:

  • Understanding of data protection and particularly GDPR principles.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and manage own time effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both English & Macedonian languages.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly.

  • Great interpersonal skills, with a polite and respectful manner and the ability to discuss sensitive or difficult issues openly and diplomatically.

  • Ability to solve problems using own initiative.

  • Adaptable and flexible approach with an ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

  • Previous experience in data protection compliance (preferable but not essential).

  • Qualifications: a graduate/ bachelors level or sufficient relevant experience.
