As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving the success of our product team, ensuring we consistently deliver high-quality services and features that align with business goals. You will be the guiding force behind both team performance and culture, promoting a positive, productive environment where every team member can excel. Additionally, you’ll work cross-functionally with engineering leadership to improve our processes, foster innovation, and contribute to our engineering culture. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Effective Delivery: Guide the team through sprint and quarterly goals, ensuring each cycle delivers impactful, high-quality outcomes. 
  • Create Clarity and Remove Barriers: Help team members navigate challenges, establish career and team goals, and keep momentum high.
  • Proactively Solve Problems: Surface issues early, propose solutions, and coordinate efforts to address and resolve them.
  • Boost Team Morale and Motivation: Cultivate a positive team culture, balancing workloads and celebrating achievements.
  • Support Career Development: Provide mentoring, constructive feedback, and tailored support to help team members grow in their roles.
  • Champion Best Practices: Oversee the adoption of engineering best practices, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Drive Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, product owners, and other managers to align efforts and advance the broader engineering department.
  • Prioritize Technical Health: Advocate for technical debt resolution and maintain a technical roadmap to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Recruit and Grow Talent: Lead hiring initiatives, make headcount recommendations, and ensure the team is equipped for future growth.

All about you:

  • Strong Engineering Foundations: A solid background in the software development field and a deep understanding of software delivery processes and tools like Jira and Confluence. 
  • Leadership Experience: Proven history of coaching and mentoring engineering teams, balancing project deadlines with individual growth.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities flexibly.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Skilled at using data to guide decisions, track progress, and continuously improve processes. Experienced in turning business requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans.
  • Clear Communication: Able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and adept at facilitating collaborative discussions with the capability of participating in and contributing to high-level technical discussions.
  • Passion for Continuous Growth: Proven history of commitment to self-development, including higher education, open to feedback from peers and team members, and a positive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Empathy and Inclusivity: Skilled at managing diverse teams and creating an inclusive environment that respects varying skill sets and perspectives.
