Overview

HP is on a mission to build a more sustainable and resilient supply chain. Core to this mission is driving break-through performance across our global manufacturing network of partner, original design and contract manufacturers. The Project/Program Manager is responsible for leading projects across the different functional areas of our Supply Chain delivering exceptional quality, mitigating risk, and developing a future ready manufacturing operations. This position reports to the Global Head of Personal Systems Operations Quality.

Responsibilities

· Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.

· Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned projects

· Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet project requirements and schedule

· Lead enterprise-wide projects and multiple projects simultaneously

· Communicates project progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal partners to implement changes to to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established timelines

· Follows up on open actions with issue owners to ensure closure prior to due date

· Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently

· Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

· Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization

· Drives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures

· Mentors and coaches other staff members on how to be an effective PM

 

Experience

· Four year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence

· Has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in continuous improvement and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 4-7 years of work experience

· Experience operating in a lean production system (TPS or equivalent) with lean six sigma credentials and experience. Data driven mindset and success leading process improvement initiatives using known quality methodologies

· Transformational program management. Demonstrate experience in transforming an organization and/or business by changing processes, systems, people/skills, culture, etc.

· Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration within team, with business partners, cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners. Exhibit strong project management skills including prioritization, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects concurrently

· Executive influence and communication skills across verbal, written and formal presentation settings. Strong problem-solving skill with analytic mind-set

The base pay range for this role is $121,650 - $176,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
