Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating web applications developed by OG Healthcare to ensure they meet high standards of quality, functionality, and performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Software Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or in a similar role, specifically testing web applications.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Familiarity with various testing types: functional, non-functional, UI/UX, security, performance, and regression testing.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
- Understanding of Agile development practices and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with development teams and convey test findings.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing to verify web application functionality, usability, security, and performance.
- Identify, record, and track bugs and issues using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira etc.).
- Collaborate closely with software developers, project manager, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, acceptance criteria, and potential risk areas.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure previously developed features function as expected after updates.
- Test web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Analyze test results, prepare detailed bug reports, and participate in troubleshooting with the development team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and trends to continuously improve testing processes.
- Provide suggestions for improving the overall user experience and quality of the web applications.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by working with stakeholders to validate end-user requirements.
Experience and Background
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and environments such as Azure etc.
- ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications.
