Job Description

The Entertainment Technician Event Team will have the experience of production in special events and seasonal offering. As an Entertainment Technician, you will install and operate the lighting, audio and video for dozens of seasonal events and one-off special event across our Parks and Resorts on a working basis. Responsibilities include hotel event operation and maintenance of all entertainment technical elements, assisting technical production management to setup equipment for seasonal events, loading in and operating equipment for conventions and special events, programming, mixing and operating lighting/video/audio consoles for live shows and special events, cleaning up all areas affected by installation, proper care, operation, and prep of company Genie lift day before installation.
Must have:
  • 2+ years live entertainment experience
  • Effective Chinese/English communication
  • Full-time availability
  • Technically and mechanically inclined
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Willing to work overnight
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Fully understanding of electrical systems
Good to have:
  • Networking, programming, and computer skills
  • Driving license holder (Class 1 & 2)
  • Registration of Electrical Worker/Holder of Safety Training Certificate

Responsibilities:

The Entertainment Technician Event Team will have the experience of production in special events and seasonal offering. As an Entertainment Technician, you will install and operate the lighting, audio and video for dozens of seasonal events and one-off special event across our Parks and Resorts on a working basis.

Responsibilities
  • Hotel event operation and maintenance of all entertainment technical elements
  • Assist technical production management to setup equipment for seasonal events
  • Load in and operate equipment for conventions and special events
  • Program, mix and operate lighting/video/audio consoles for live shows and special events
  • Clean up all areas affected by installation
  • Proper care, operation, and prep of company Genie lift day before installation

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years live entertainment experience in increasing roles of responsibility
  • Effective Chinese/English verbal and written communication skills
  • Full-time availability for a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Technically and mechanically inclined able to work with basic hand tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions in a physically active environment
  • Willing to work overnight and dynamic work hours
  • Able to work in a physically demanding role that requires lifting up to 50 lbs as well as frequent climbing, squatting, and standing for long durations of time
  • Fully understanding of electrical systems and data signal flow
  • Must have a proven safety track record - clean driving record and safety-first mindset
  • Specialize in one or more of the following technical disciplines:
    • Audio
      • Live mixing including band, singers and actors (front of house and monitors)
      • Experience setting up and tearing down audio gear (speakers, instruments, etc.)
      • Proficient in programming and operating digital consoles and advanced audio programs (Q-SYS, Dante, etc.)
    • Video
      • Live event experience building and operating video systems
      • Media server and/or projection mapping knowledge
      • LED wall installation experience
    • Lighting
      • Read and implement lighting plots
      • Experience programming lighting consoles and moving lights
      • Understand basic lighting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Networking, programming, and computer skills
  • Driving license holder (Class 1 & 2) is an advantage
  • Registration of Electrical Worker/Holder of Safety Training Certificate is an advantage

Additional Information:

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY

Our Theme Park and Resort Hotels operate 365 days a year. Candidates will need to work shifts according to a roster that is determined by the Company, including shifts on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
