The Role
Gala is pleased to announce we are continuing to hire in our US offices. We are excited to be adding to our VOX engineering team! You will assist in building our amazing brand through web and native projects. This is a unique opportunity to be immersed in a phenomenal team working on the gaming evolution, working on new and exciting things all while working with some of the best and most talented devs in the industry. You will be a part of a company of super-achievers who work together to bring forth the evolution of entertainment. The ideal candidate has prior blockchain, experience, excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. We want someone with experience and passion for web3, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. We would love someone with a deep passion for games, strong product management skills, and an impressive track record for working in a fast-paced, evolving, creative-minded environment.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality applications and web games using React.
- Develop and implement responsive and reusable components.
- Implement new functionality in existing frontend applications, collaborating with UX/UI artists and backend engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Artists to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues related to large datasets in the UI, ensuring smooth and engaging user interactions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working with React.
- Proficiency with advanced React systems such as hooks, Redux, and React Context.
- Thorough understanding of the component lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.
- Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Proficiency using Git.
- Experience with REST services and WebSockets.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and a desire to produce high-quality products.
- Excited by problem-solving.
- Fearless.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or any other CSS framework.
- Experience with backend technologies like Node.js.
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker or other containerized environments.
- Familiarity with the Linux/Unix command line (WSL, Mac, Linux, etc.).
- Bonus points for experience with any game engine (Unity, Unreal, Godot, Phaser, Cocos, etc.).
