Job Description
Sparx* seeks a talented FX Trainee to create stunning visual effects for League of Legends using real-time game engines. Responsibilities include learning the art style and game engine, collaborating with the team, and producing high-quality VFX. Ideal candidates are skilled in software like Photoshop, Maya, 3DS Max, or Blender, possess a strong artistic sense (shape, timing, color, motion), and have experience playing MOBAs. The role involves hand-painting and drawing skills and is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. English proficiency and prior VFX experience are preferred.
Must have:
- Skilled in Photoshop/Affinity, Maya/3DS Max/Blender
- Strong sense of shape, timing, color, and motion
- Teamwork and self-motivation
- League of Legends or MOBA experience
- Hand-painting and drawing skills
Good to have:
- English proficiency
- General VFX or art experience
- Video game playing experience

Report to: FX Art Team Leader
Sparx* is currently looking for a talented FX Trainee who can do his/her magic on Real-Time Game Engines. You love working on fascinating special effects, you dream to work on an entertainment IP, we are looking for passionate people who want to open their field of competency. Welcome to the team where every day is a new challenge to make your ideas become true and amaze the audience with stunning effects.
- Learn the art style and game engine.
- Create stunning visual effects for League of Legends.
- Collaborate with team members to make the final products.
Qualifications
- Skilled with Photoshop or Affinity, Maya, and or 3DS Max, Blender.
- Strong sense of shape, timing, color and motion.
- Self-motivated and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Has experience in playing League of Legends or other MOBA games.
- Good at hand-painting, drawing.
- Open to work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
- Portfolio with your best artworks, can be 3D modelling, hand-painting, scuplting or VFX in general.
Preferred:
- English proficiency is preferred.
- Has past-experience in general VFX or other art-forms.
- Do play video games.
