About the Role:

We are looking for an inspiring and business savvy General Manager to lead and grow our newest globally launched game, Squad Busters as it transforms from an emerging game to a live game. Squad Busters is a casual action RPG that brings all of the beloved Supercell IPs under one roof and the latest entry to Supercell’s lineup of global hit games. As the General Manager, you will be the linchpin ensuring the game's continued growth, both in terms of revenue and player engagement and satisfaction. This is an opportunity to have a massive impact for Supercell as a company and for millions of players across the globe. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership & Accountability: Own the game’s end-to-end business, product and team performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Drive the long, mid, and short-term strategy for the game, ensuring alignment with a focus on long term business growth, product vision and player experience .
  • Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional game team, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation and excellence.
  • Execution: Working closely with the game’s team leads to realizing the game's vision, ensuring an unparalleled gaming experience for our players.
  • Collaboration: Engage with GMs of Supercell's other renowned live games and function leaders across the organization, sharing insights and best practices.
  • Reporting: Directly report to the Head of Live Games, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Supercell leadership team. Lead a cross-functional leadership team made up of game development, liveops and monetization and marketing leaders.

What we expect you to have:

  • 15+ years of work experience, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role with product (and P&L ownership).
  • Prior experience on a free-to-play mobile game that has been operated for multiple years with a strong track record of driving sustained growth.
  • Passion for building and scaling up high-performance teams and organizations.
  • Understanding of game development and how to effectively drive collaboration within a cross-discipline game team, including design, engineering, UI/UX, art, and other key functions.
  • Ability to effectively drive change in an organization and deal with conflict when needed.
  • Strong understanding of live operations, monetization, and economy and how these capabilities interact with one another and contribute to business success.
  • Experience in partnering with marketing and community leaders to drive long term growth and fandom.
  • An unwavering passion for games, coupled with an obsession for delivering the best player experience.
  • Ability to hire, retain and develop the best talent.
