At Supercell, one of the world's most respected gaming companies, you'll be working with iconic titles as Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Boom Beach and Hay Day. Combining multiple sources (quantitative/qualitative, internal/external), the Marketing Intelligence Partner for Live Games will work very close to Marketing Leads, chasing answers for complex business questions and empowering informed decisions regarding Brand Image & Positioning, Audiences, Communications & Media Strategies, Social & Cultural Dynamics, Partnerships and other topics connected to how our games talk to the gaming community, attract new gamers and build solid bonding with our current players.
We are looking for people who sees beyond the “what?”, pushing the bounderies to answer also “why?”, “what’s next?”, “what should we do now?” and “which future should we build?”.
This position will be based in Helsinki, with full report to the Marketing Intelligence and Insights Lead and side/dotted report to Game Marketing Lead.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee comprehensive primary and secondary market research projects to gather data on consumers, competitors, and market conditions.
- Utilize advanced statistical techniques and software to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Develop and present detailed reports and presentations to senior management, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Identify, monitor, and analyze industry trends and emerging market opportunities to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and refine marketing strategies based on research findings.
- Design and manage surveys, focus groups, and other sophisticated research methods to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Stay current with the latest market research tools, methodologies, and best practices, and implement innovative approaches as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) with Marketing Research, with a proven track record of leading and executing successful research projects, both Qualitative and Quantitative.
- Extensive familiarity over Marketing fundamentals (Marketing Plan, Marketing Mix, Comms Development, Brand Positioning and Image Building, Media, ROI etc).
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong leadership and ownership abilities, with experience managing multiple research partners.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills, comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with proactive, results-oriented mindset. Confortable with mutable, dynamic and “non-topdown” environments.
- Aptitude to work outside of comfort zone and get things done quickly.
- Fluent English (Korean, Portuguese, German, Spanish or French will be a plus).
- Experience within Gaming Industry will be considered as a strong advantage.
