Your Mission
The franchise editorial writer is responsible for the creation and production of content across Call of Duty Editorial – with an emphasis on Strategy Guides. In this role, this team member’s primary responsibility is to plan, write, and produce content across content on callofduty.com/guides in addition to supporting blog copywriting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical production for Blogs and Guides as well as assistance in the cross-team communication for asset production and approvals, including servicing new builds, computers, and other equipment
Creation of matching assets and screenshots via various tools across the entire Adobe Suite to produce “read to go live” images, videos, infographs, gifs, and interactable Tac-Maps
Capture screenshots, which include menu and map environmental landscapes/POI screenshots, for use across all of Editorial (Blogs and Guides), and potential marketing and retail channels
CMS preparation and curation across multiple properties, including callofduty.com
Additional copywriting for Blogs, website, and Patch Notes sections of callofduty.com, along with other Activision franchise support as needed
Responsible for technical assistance in game build operation and updating teams on build status and access
Extremely detailed and granular working knowledge of Call of Duty, “game expert,” becoming a source of information for game specifics
Qualifications:
Passion for games
BA/BS in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism preferred
Minimum of 3-4 years of copywriting or journalism experience, video game industry preferred
Proficient on Adobe software suit, including expertise in capturing screenshots
Technical knowledge on video game consoles, PC hardware and overall ability to navigate pre-release game builds
Extremely thorough knowledge of Call of Duty, including gameplay systems, narrative, history, including statistical and other elements
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Reader, and expert proficiency with Photoshop, CMS systems, and other graphical and video software suites used in the creation of assets, screenshots, and video.
Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of business functions and team leads
Detail-oriented, self-directed skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including adaptability to fluid and last-minute changes

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $26.83 - $49.63 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
