Job Description

The Product Specialist role at AlphaSense bridges sales, customer success, and technical support. They build relationships with potential clients by providing support and deep technical knowledge. Responsibilities include building relationships with prospective clients, delivering training sessions, and providing on-site support. The role involves driving adoption and ensuring the success of the product suite within investment banking firms. This includes conducting warm calls, delivering training, providing on-site client support, and building strong relationships with clients. The specialist also assesses client needs and provides feedback to the product development team.

About the Team

The Product Specialist role at AlphaSense lives at the intersection of sales, customer success, and technical support. Product Specialists are tasked with building relationships with prospective clients by providing support and deep technical knowledge to demonstrate the value of AlphaSense while helping to drive adoption. Due to the extensive exposure that Product Specialists have with clients, they’re also in a prime location to partner with our sales and product teams in determining future product developments that will resonate with the market.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving adoption and ensuring the success of our innovative product suite within investment banking firms. You will leverage your understanding of their unique workflows and challenges to proactively connect with potential clients, deliver compelling training sessions, and provide dedicated on-site support. Who You Are

  • 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing role servicing investment banking clients or direct experience working within an investment banking environment. 
  • A strong understanding of investment banking workflows, terminology, and key functions (e.g., M&A, capital markets, trading). 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with sophisticated clients. 
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a proven ability to take initiative and drive results. 
  • Comfort and confidence in conducting both virtual and in-person client meetings and training sessions. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as needed. 
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactive Client Engagement: Conduct warm calls to existing investment banking clients to introduce our product offerings and identify opportunities for training. 
  • Product Expertise & Training: Become a deep expert in our product suite and deliver engaging and effective training sessions (both virtual and in-person) to investment banking professionals, ensuring they maximize the value of our solutions. 
  • On-site Client Support: Travel to client locations to provide hands-on support, implementation guidance, and build strong rapport with key stakeholders. Willing to travel up to 20% of the time to client offices.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with investment banking clients, acting as their trusted advisor and point of contact. 
  • Needs Assessment & Feedback: Understand client needs and workflows, providing valuable feedback to our product development team to ensure our solutions continue to meet the evolving demands of the investment banking industry. 
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner closely with our sales team to support the sales cycle through product demonstrations, technical expertise, and client advocacy. 
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and the specific challenges and opportunities within investment banking.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Compensation Range

$80,000 - $92,500 USD
