Twisted Pixel Games is looking for an experienced Lead VR Producer to assist in delivering our next Virtual Reality and AAA game! Signature traits of Twisted Pixel Games games involve humor and a flair for originality with emphasis on strong, expressive character designers and immersive gameplay. The entire team is very collaborative and ideas come from anywhere and anyone. The Lead Producer will ensure execution and on-time delivery of projects in partnership with the Executive Producer and Game Director. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, excellent skills in project management, organization, time-management, and can knowledgeably and effectively lead production in scheduling, budgeting, and business design to determine the best course for a team. Candidates will be results-driven while balancing the fun of making games.
Lead VR Producer - Twisted Pixel Responsibilities
Provides strategic leadership and guidance to Production team to ensure we are effectively auditing development plans and milestone goals, including tracking and mitigation of critical development risks and continuously improving our processes to suit our culture and project needs
Proactively identify gaps in development coverage, as well as identify minor and major risks, propose mitigation solutions, and escalate to Executive Producer and Directors all while executing against ambitious targets
Manage milestones and deliverables, addressing day-to-day production issues to allow the team to deliver items on time and achieve the highest possible game quality
Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, collect feedback, and assist in breaking down complex initiatives into simple, compelling designs with actionable steps and proper estimated schedules/timelines
Collaborate with Managers/Directors concerning personnel issues and individual team member growth, such as meeting task expectations, actively tasking individuals toward determined growth goals
Develop timelines and milestones of projects, breaking down technical and creative needs into do-able tasks
Keep team motivated and engaged through recognition, conflict resolution and relationship building
Must be able to play games in a VR headset to test new mechanics in development to ensure they meet the quality standards set forth by the game team/directors
Partner on effectively influencing leaders and key partners across Meta products to gain alignment and communicate with conviction
Minimum Qualifications
8 + years of professional game industry experience on various platforms
Experience navigating ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, technical work environment
Efficient in complex project management
Effective creative problem-solving skills with experience to identify solutions that work for multiple stakeholders
Effective presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the experience to communicate complex, sometimes abstract, concepts clearly and persuasively
Shipped at least 3 published titles as Producer and/or Sr. Producer
Experience working with different project management methodologies including waterfall, agile development, SCRUM or Kanban
Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in gaming, technology, and VR
A proven track record of successful launches
Experienced creating fun games with an engaging player experience
Experience initiating and managing vendor contracts/purchase orders
Experience partnering with and managing third party vendors
