Disneyland Resort Hotels seeks a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, industrial laundry equipment, boilers, compressors, generators, and lighting systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and fixing electrical and mechanical issues, completing work orders, understanding energy management systems, and interacting with guests. The role demands experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair within a hotel/restaurant setting. Night shifts and weekend availability are required.
Must have:
  • 2 years HVAC/Refrigeration experience
  • EPA 608 or Universal Certificate
  • Electrical and Mechanical system repair
  • Computerized maintenance program proficiency
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
Good to have:
  • Hotel guest room and public space maintenance experience

Our Maintenance Engineers will focus on fixing and repairing the HVAC and Refrigeration systems, heating, plumbing, ventilation throughout the Disneyland® Resort Hotels. They will also perform general maintenance duties such as, but not limited to the following: operate and maintain boilers, Industrial-Laundry equipment, compressors, generators, and lighting systems and all appurtenant equipment driven by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, water, or any other power developing energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and fix A/C and Refrigeration systems as related to a hotel/restaurant environment
  • Operate, fix, and maintain the industrial-laundry facility and equipment to include washers, dryers, ironers, spreaders, folders, and steam presses
  • Maintain, repair, alter, modify, recondition, replace, clean, and lubricate all Resort equipment or facilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Ability to complete work orders in the computerized maintenance program
  • Understand energy managements systems and operators
  • Able to fix electrical and mechanical systems
  • Must have EPA 608 certificate or Universal Certificate
  • Interact with Guest and other cast members answering questions, providing directions, event information and other service to create a magical experience for our Guests
  • Schedule Availability - Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st – Day Shift, 2nd – Swing Shift, and 3rd – Graveyard Shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off

Technical Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • 2 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the maintenance of hotel guest rooms and public spaces

Additional Information:

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off. Availability to work overtime as needed.
