Network Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to support recurring and task-based work, including IP allowlisting via Terraform, Azure NSG and route table updates, Meraki switch and wireless configuration, and helping validate load balancer changes in F5 Distributed Cloud. This role provides consistent support into Pacific Time hours to help extend team coverage. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth. 

Please note: you must have at least 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Execute Terraform changes via Azure DevOps, mainly for IP allowlisting in CERT and PROD

• Support Azure VNets, NSGs, route tables, and VPN Gateway configuration reviews

• Handle Meraki dashboard tasks: switch port updates, SSID config, firewall rule changes

• Assist with validating domain and IP routing within F5 Distributed Cloud (F5XC)

• Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation for audit and change control

• Monitor and respond to alerts, escalating or logging issues as needed

EXPERIENCE

• Foundational knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, subnets, routing)

• Experience with Terraform and Azure DevOps for infrastructure changes

• Hands-on familiarity with Meraki switching, wireless, and firewall settings

• Strong documentation habits and the ability to follow structured processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to prioritize and work autonomously

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to F5 Distributed Cloud (F5XC) and basic HTTP load balancer routing

• Ability to read and interpret Palo Alto firewall logs (via Panorama)

• Familiarity with Grafana for reading dashboards and understanding alert patterns

• Can acknowledge alerts and assist with triage or escalation in coordination with the SRE team
