Job Description

As a Senior Consultant in the US Privacy Operations team, you will lead Privacy deliverables for Marketing, Credit, and Technology workstreams. You will assess privacy impacts of proposed solutions, communicate these impacts to stakeholders, and provide actionable advice to ensure privacy compliance. Responsibilities include delivering privacy risk assessments and inventory, contributing to internal and external enhancements within Privacy Operations, and aligning with new regulations. This role requires working with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Privacy Operations, Legal and Compliance. This is a hybrid position involving regular virtual and in-person work at a TU office for at least two days per week.
Must have:
  • 3+ years’ experience managing US state privacy regulations.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing privacy impacts of Marketing, Advertising, Credit, or Technology solutions.
  • Ability to act with relative autonomy, with ownership in the delivery of your objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing, organizing, and communicating complex work.
  • Enthusiasm for building and strengthening relationships.
  • Eagerness for acting as a trusted advisor.
Good to have:
  • Privacy experience within financial services or complex marketing.
  • A strong understanding of other regulations (e.g. FCRA, GLBA, HIPAA).
  • Experience of a global technology organization.
  • Privacy credentials (e.g. CIPT, CIPM).
  • Experience in the development or management of effective scalable processes.
  • Experience with data flows and privacy-enhancing technologies.

What You'll Bring:

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a lead role in our US Privacy Operations team, which is part of Global Privacy Operations. You will deliver for Privacy across our Marketing/ Advertising and Credit solutions, and support ongoing enhancements to our Technology platforms. To deliver, you will work with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Privacy Operations, Legal and Compliance.   • 3+ years’ experience managing the privacy impacts of Marketing, Advertising, Credit or Technology solutions

  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing, organizing, and communicating complex work
  • An enthusiasm for building and strengthening relationships at all levels across the organization
  • An eagerness for acting as a trusted advisor to our stakeholders

Impact You'll Make:

  • Product: Lead the Privacy deliverables for your workstreams (Marketing, Credit, Technology). This requires you to
    • Assess the privacy impact of proposed solutions
    • Communicate that impact to stakeholders
    • Provide actionable advice to ensure privacy compliance
    • Deliver and manage privacy risk assessments and inventory
    • Escalate where relevant
  • Reporting: Deliver on metrics which demonstrate privacy’s contribution to the organization
  • Internal enhancements: Contribute to ongoing enhancements within Privacy Operations
  • External enhancements: Work with stakeholders to align to new regulations
  • Align: Act on the direction of the Privacy Operations management team as directed

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000.00. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
