Job Description

As a Program Manager III at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects for Platform and Devices, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate across teams. Responsibilities include leading programs and communities, building comprehensive schedules and plans for Platform releases, managing communication of progress/status, establishing metrics and analytics, and collaborating with other Google teams. The role requires experience in program/project management, product operations for software/hardware, and change management communications. You'll drive quality, improve user experience, and manage cross-functional projects spanning offices and time zones.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with Product Operations for Software or Hardware products.
  • Experience with Change Management Communications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience writing system level software, working with mobile networks and delivering consumer electronics.
  • Experience debugging tough technical issues that cross boundaries between hardware, software and network teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead programs and communities, and represent their feedback to drive quality and improve the user experience of the Platform.
  • Build comprehensive schedules and plans for the Platform seeking all the necessary schedule inputs to develop a plan for release and keep the team tracking to it, manage changes to the plan.
  • Manage communication of progress/status within the teams and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Establish metrics and analytics to improve feedback.
  • Work with other Google teams to establish cross-group programs and processes.
