Job Description
As a UX Designer, you will shape the future of our web and mobile applications, ensuring complex processes feel simple and intuitive. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to design workflows, tackle technical challenges and deliver an outstanding user experience. Key responsibilities include designing Ookla apps, creating wireframes and prototypes, translating user needs into design concepts, collaborating with stakeholders and maintaining design systems. Also you will be advocating for user-centered design while balancing usability with technical constraints, and staying updated on industry trends.
Must have:
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design.
- Deep understanding of creating intuitive user experiences.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- A strategic approach to tackling design challenges.
- Experience building design systems.
- Ability to analyze user feedback and data.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a UX Designer to help shape the future of our web and mobile applications. In this role, your work will directly impact how users interact with our tools, making complex processes feel simple and intuitive.
You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders to design smooth workflows, tackle technical challenges, and fine-tune every detail to deliver an outstanding user experience. Your keen design sense, problem-solving skills, and ability to balance user needs with product vision will ensure our tools are both powerful and easy to use.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Ookla apps across web and mobile, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to communicate solutions effectively.
- Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, innovative design concepts from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and prioritize UX features.
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines for consistency across products.
- Advocate for user-centered design while balancing usability with technical constraints.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance the design process.
- Facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions to drive creativity and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing your creativity.
- User-Centered Design: Deep understanding of creating intuitive, engaging, and accessible user experiences.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and key stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A strategic, open-minded approach to tackling complex design challenges.
- Design Systems: Experience building, maintaining, and evolving scalable design systems.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyze user feedback and behavioral data to optimize designs.
- Tools: Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present design concepts and decisions.
