AECOM is seeking a Project Control Planner / Scheduler to provide remote full-time support for various transportation programs and projects. This role involves managing project data, reports, schedules, and budgets, and assisting Project Control Managers, Project Managers, and Discipline Managers with day-to-day client needs. The planner will be knowledgeable in planning and scheduling concepts, assist in basic schedule development, analyze schedules to identify variances, and update/produce scheduling reports. Responsibilities include supporting WBS development, gathering data for schedule updates and baselines, and assisting in monthly report preparation. Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, CPM scheduling, scope control, change management, and earned value methodology is required.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Control Planner / Scheduler to provide remote work for various transportation programs and projects. The role involves performing full-time support, of transportation projects throughout the AECOM providing the management of project data, reports, schedules and budgets.  The position is to support and assist to Project Control Managers, Project Managers and Discipline Managers to support day-to-day client needs internal and external. This role is remote.

This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
  • Familiar with data sources and supports basic schedule development.  
  • Supports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances.  
  • Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports.  
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding.  Supports basic schedule development.  
  • Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating. 
  • Supports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.   
  • Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.  
  • Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.
  • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.  
  • Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
  • Supports monthly report preparation.
  • May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues. 
  • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related exp or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirement

  • 4+ years in Construction industry
  • Degree in Business Administration / Accounting Major, Construction Management / Business Major
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Have an eye for detail and organization skills
