Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Level 4 Project Manager to join our Strategy & Operations team within the Netflix Engineering & Technology Services (NETS) organization. This role is pivotal in leading complex projects that span across multiple teams and departments, driving innovative solutions, and contributing to the overall success of our org-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders and senior leadership around our broader vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and manage projects within the enterprise ecosystem, ensuring significant cross-team and cross-department collaboration. Act as a cross-functional bridge to ensure alignment and synergy across programs.
Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and solve complex and ambiguous problems by driving new or existing solutions. Apply best practices and shift from tactical to proactive thinking by recommending new or extended capabilities and approaches.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the program strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with business goals. Identify synergies and dependencies across programs to optimize overall impact and outcomes for the business. Contribute, design and implement a project management methodology.
Decision Making: Make informed decisions with incomplete information, considering higher-order implications such as brand impact and customer trust. Balance details with bigger picture considerations.
Stakeholder/Senior Leadership Management: Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and partners. Influence senior cross-functional partners and leadership, and motivate stakeholders around the broader vision and mission.
Mentorship & Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse backgrounds and perspectives are valued and encouraged.
Financial Acumen: Manage department budgets effectively, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
Workflow Implementation: Establish and implement workflows internally and externally to support initiatives, ensuring streamlined execution and program efficacy.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a project management role with an advanced understanding of various project management methodologies.
Experience within the cyber security and data privacy space
Experience working with Engineering teams and product managers
Proven experience in project management within a strategy and operations context, preferably in an engineering organization.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, organize, and structure complex issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share domain expertise confidently and clearly to diverse audiences (verbal and written).
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Financial acumen and experience managing department budgets.
Ability to navigate competing priorities and trade-offs, with a strong business mindset.
Experience in mentoring and developing team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in influencing senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Familiarity with testing, metrics, and product roadmapping.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $700,000.
