Description

Scopely is looking for a QA Analyst to join our unannounced project in Barcelona on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from the hub.
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and aim to inspire play every day—whether in our work environments alongside talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing, and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Senior QA Lead, you will play a key role on the feature pod within the game team. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct manual testing across all features, ensuring that every part of the player experience aligns with our high-quality standards.
  • Feature Testing: Execute manual tests for all game features developed by the feature pod, validating functionality, performance, and player experience
  • Bug Tracking and Management: Document and track issues using JIRA (or a similar bug tracking system), prioritizing bugs for resolution, and supporting the development team with clear, actionable information
  • Test Documentation: Assist in creating and updating test cases and test plans, including regression tests, for all feature pod content
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and other QA teams, to ensure feature requirements and quality standards are met throughout the development cycle
  • Feedback: Provide detailed feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall quality, helping guide the development of player-centered features
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in manual QA testing within the games industry
  • 3-5 years' experience embedded within a team, with key responsibility for maintaining quality
  • Strong background in game testing, with a demonstrated understanding of mobile and/or PC platforms and player experience requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in JIRA or other bug tracking systems
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona, with a commitment to a hybrid setup that includes three days in-office per week
