As a Regional Marketing Director, you will be responsible for directing all customer marketing activity in the designated region including understanding the market, using market analysis to inform business forecasting, promoting Rolls-Royce products and services with potential customers and prospects as well as representing Marketing in the Sell Value Stream process as an integral member of the sales campaign team.

Key Accountability:

  • Provide region specific understanding and knowledge of the market, with the assistance of the UK based market assessment team and be able to leverage that to guide both the Customer Regional Team and the wider business; to inform the regional strategy, maximize sales and revenue opportunities and to understand and mitigate business risks. 

  • Provide market insights and analysis to the Region in support of existing business forecasting activity (Aircraft In Service, Engine Flying Hours). Focusing on individual account fleets as well as the broader region market to enable informed and validated sales and revenue forecasting.  

  • Lead and coordinate prospecting for potential used aircraft customers in region. Identify and where appropriate directly target operator prospects to create a desire for Rolls-Royce products and services prior to and/or when they are considering or evaluating used aircraft.

  • Support the selling team within active sales campaigns. Managing the flow of product and services data to potential customers, including preparation and provision of RFP responses, understanding the Rolls-Royce product & services position against competitors and utilize value analysis of the product/service package to demonstrate differential advantage over the competition.

  • Develop Airframer regional marketing contacts and relationships to coordinate joint marketing activity for potential customers in region.

  • Develop customer and potential customer relationships & understanding; including collation and analysis of individual customer data, which is focused on understanding customer needs/satisfaction to inform product and service marketing activity and future product/service developments.  

  • Establishing and executing a marketing communications plan for the region (including associated budget as part of managing the Targeted Marketing Fund) which supports the regional strategy, disseminates marketing information, messaging and collateral through the regional team, and positively influences customers to create a pull for our products & services.

  • Lead and coordinate the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace presence at specific external events in region (Airshows, Conferences, Symposiums…etc.), including definition of objectives and key messages and either personally or recruit others as appropriate to represent Rolls-Royce at these events.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing qualifications desirable; Airline industry awareness and keen understanding of the civil aviation market, relevant technical experience an advantage

  • Analytical skills and capabilities to understand and interpret Civil Aerospace market and Operator data in order to inform the business

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate with, and influence. Understanding market positioning needs and championing key messages

  • A good understanding of the Airline business and needs with respect to Rolls-Royce products and services

  • Commercial awareness to be able to extrapolate analysis to work out what it takes to convince our customers to buy our products and services. Good level of Chinese language skills is highly preferred, or some other suitable language along those lines
