The Retention Marketing Analyst (Loyalty) at PrizePicks is responsible for analyzing loyalty program data to improve user retention and optimize reinvestment spending. This role involves A/B testing, developing data reporting systems, creating presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborating with stakeholders to guide strategy. Key responsibilities include owning loyalty program analytics, creating personalized user experiences, performing A/B testing, and developing data analysis systems to measure and inform business strategy. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of data analytics experience in a relevant domain, advanced SQL skills, experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred), and strong communication skills.

We seek an inquisitive, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Data Analyst experienced in Retention Marketing. This data-centric role is vital for building and maintaining analytics tools and workflows. Candidates who can flex their SQL skill set and analyze essential data to guide decision-making will stand out the most. A passion for solving problems around segmentation strategy, retention spend optimization, and guiding profitable growth for the business is essential for success. You’re an excellent fit for this role if you’re comfortable managing projects simultaneously, working with a cross-functional team, and informing and influencing stakeholders with data and insights to drive outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the topic of retention loyalty program analytics through segmented gamified strategy, creating a personalized user experience, and optimizing reinvestment spend
  • Perform A/B testing to understand the effects of different loyalty aspects on user behavior and retention
  • Create, understand, and identify opportunities within the loyalty program
  • Develop data collection, data analysis and business intelligence reporting systems to measure and inform business strategy for a new loyalty program and general retention strategy
  • Create presentations and written documents with little guidance, and present to both technical and non-technical audiences in an effective way, articulating ideas and opinions clearly and efficiently
  • Collaborate with decision-makers on the Retention Marketing team to understand their goals, and proactively identify opportunities to use data to develop new insights, guide strategy, and improve business results

What you have:

  • 2+ years of Data Analytics experience in an ecommerce, direct-to-consumer or retail environment (retention marketing domain experience preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including comfort with analytic functions, window functions, and common table expressions
  • 2+ years’ experience using data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) & scripting languages (Python)
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis, supported by data, and clearly communicate them to stakeholders, including senior management
  • Intellectual curiosity, and solid understanding in data sources and ecosystems, with the ability to see from the brand’s business lens
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Where you’ll live:

  • Anywhere in the US is fine, but Atlanta would be preferred.
