Role Purpose
The responsibilities of this role are:
- Relevant Contributor on all operational risk and resilience matters
- Deep involvement in all RepoClear and CALM related topics
- Relevant Contributor in Default management coordination
- Relevant Contributor in business continuity strategy
- Involvement in Transversal risk management duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Be a relevant contact person for the Operational Risk and Resilience team.
- Ensure that operational risk and resilience matters are properly handled for all projects related to the RepoClear Business Line and CaLM function
- Review the Operational Risk framework’s accuracy and suggest evolutions if needed.
- Ensure that permanent and operational controls are performed accurately and are reviewed regularly
- Ensure that the RepoClear & CaLM Risk – SA team completes its tasks in accordance with the Operational Risk Framework
- Ensure that incidents are reported correctly and in a timely manner
- Deep involvement in projects sponsored by or having an impact on the RepoClear & CaLM Risk – SA team
- Ensure that new projects are implemented in accordance with risk policies
- Ensure RCL and CaLM SA risk management remains aligned with any changes in Group policy and suggests alignment if need be
- Take part in the production of papers to be presented to Risk governance and other Committees
- Ensure high level of coordination within the Business Line in time of Default / Fire drill (via the introduction of master check list / processes..)
- Take part in the RepoClear and CaLM Default Management Group
- Provide RepoClear & CaLM – SA Management with risk analyses of the default situation
- Suggest improvements to the Head of RepoClear & CaLM Risk – SA regarding policies
- Regular involvement in the daily risk management of the RepoClear / CaLM activity
- Act as an interlocutor between the Business line product specialists and the 2nd Line risk specialists where needed to ensure mutual understanding and alignment on concerns and priorities
- Interact locally and also at group level with 2nd Line risk specialists and Operations specialists
- Ensure the maintenance of the dashboard tool using Excel&VBA program
- Take part of the business continuity strategy implementation (BIA,BCP and walkthrough plan exercises)
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years working in operational risk, business continuity or operational resilience
- Knowledge of the financial markets
- Ability to work well within a team in multicultural environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French. Proficiency in English is a requirement
- Experience using Excel VBA programming
- Ability to question existing procedures, being able to point out weaknesses and suggest improvements challenging the status quo
- Adaptability and proactive approach to challenges
- Ability to understanding technical ecosystem workflows of the service
