This Sales Solution Specialist role at Microsoft focuses on driving digital transformation within the UK healthcare sector (NHS and private). Responsibilities include consultative selling with a value-based approach, developing and executing account plans to meet revenue targets and customer outcomes, and acting as a customer advocate. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience selling software/solutions to the NHS or public sector, a strong network within the healthcare industry, and expertise in clinical speech recognition, AI, and the EHR ecosystem. The role requires orchestrating teams, achieving growth in revenue and market share, and maintaining deep industry knowledge. This is a key position to drive growth and deliver impactful digital solutions to healthcare providers.
Must have:
  • 7+ years in Healthcare driving digital transformation OR Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience
  • Proven track record of selling into NHS/Public Sector
  • Strong value-based solution selling experience & executive-level NHS network
  • Consultative selling approach to understand customer needs
  • Develop and execute account plans to meet targets and customer outcomes

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business/Technology
  • Experience with clinical speech recognition, AI, and EHR ecosystem

Overview

The Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) organisation is transforming healthcare by delivering innovative solutions to healthcare organisations at scale, reducing clinical workforce burnout and improving the clinician and patient experience.  

 

We are hiring a highly passionate, self-motivated salesperson to join our UK Solution Specialist Team working in public sector healthcare.

As a Sales Solution Specialist, you will have the opportunity to drive digital technology transformation in partnership with your customers, to achieve both customer and Microsoft business outcomes.

Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage with customers and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital AI technologies.

 

This individual will have a proven track history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets with strong customer obsession and ability to build relationships with both customers and partners. This role will give you the opportunity to leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against your customer’s strategic business objectives and plan.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in working in Healthcare (NHS and or Private Sector) driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in an industry (e.g. Healthcare, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
  • Proven track record of selling into the NHS or Public Sector (software/solutions).
  • Strong experience in value based solution selling together with an executive level network across the NHS/private sector.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in an industry (e.g.Healthcare, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g. consulting, technology).
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 6+ years experience working in an industry (e.g. Healthcare, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
  • Experience of clinical speech recoginition, AI and the EHR ecosystem across the NHS and private healthcare.
  • Ability to discuss technical requirements and to understand clinical requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consultative Selling - Strong experience of selling into the NHS public sector with a consultative and value-based approach to understand customer needs through dialogue before recommending products/services.
  • Customer Advocate – Develops and oversees the execution of account plan(s) to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer outcomes are met. Engages with internal and external stakeholders on business planning, to promote mutually beneficial customer digital transformation strategies. Orchestrate full customer team across all areas of Microsoft to ensure we are focused on delivering customer outcomes across the customer lifecycle to build deep trust with Microsoft.
  • Industry Relevant Trusted Seller – Proactively develops an understanding of the customer’s business, industry priorities to drive new business opportunities/ drive growth/net new business. Advocates on behalf of the customer internally, ensuring requests and needs of assigned accounts are being addressed.
  • Deliver Sales Excellence – Leads and orchestrates extended virtual teams across our solution areas to consistently achieve growth in revenue & market share.
  • Industry Knowledge – Builds and maintains an extensive knowledge of customers’ industry, associated business strategy, and key industry partners and solutions. Gains deeper insights and knowledge through direct engagement in their customers’ business and operations.
  • Microsoft Partner Ecosystem – Knowledge of and the ability to navigate successfully within the partner ecosystem, including being knowledgeable about specific partner programs and ongoing relationships.
