Summary:
The Senior Animator will be responsible for crafting custom animations across various rigs, collaborating closely with Design to refine gameplay animations, and working with cross-functional teams to address rigging and weighting issues. Proficiency in using proprietary tools and active participation in animation reviews are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
• Craft custom animations on a variety of rigs to bring characters and creatures to life.
• Collaborate with Design to refine and perfect gameplay animations, ensuring they meet quality and gameplay requirements.
• Work closely with Tech Art, Programming, Creature, and Character teams to address rigging, weighting, and other animation-related issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using the proprietary custom tool set for animation production.
• Participate in animation reviews and provide valuable input on tools, processes, and techniques to improve animation quality and efficiency.
Candidate Requirements:
• 3+ years of game development experience, with a focus on animation production.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in both biped and quadruped animations, showcasing a range of movements and behaviors for characters and creatures.
• Advanced hand key animation skill set, with the ability to create fluid and naturalistic motion.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using preferred animation software and tools for animation production, such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, etc.
• Proven experience with hand key animations, showcasing the ability to create fluid and naturalistic motion without relying heavily on motion capture technology.
• Ability to identify and meet goals consistently, delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate effectively and take direction from lead animators or supervisors.
Location: Remote, with overlap with the USA-based studio.
