The Content Production & Studio Product team is responsible for driving the strategy, prioritization, and execution of Netflix’s technology investments focused on producing content and managing the production of content. As a member of this team, your focus will be in the Visual Effects (VFX) and Animation domain.

In this role, you will be leading a team of Product Managers focused on optimizing production processes and enhancing creative workflows for VFX and Animation at Netflix. Your mission will be to guide our computer graphics product strategy, ensuring that high-impact initiatives are effectively prioritized and delivered. You will drive innovative initiatives to build next-gen CG pipelines/workflows and advance Netflix’s hybrid infrastructure strategy by enabling our VFX and Animation studios to scale through seamless access to Netflix’s global production infrastructure. Additionally, you will seek opportunities to leverage established Netflix platform technologies to drive value and enhance efficiencies across VFX and Animation production.

To thrive in this role, you will bring hands-on product/technology leadership and production experience from a VFX or Animation studio, an understanding of studio production infrastructure, and a familiarity with essential third-party tools, open-source projects, and industry standards.

What You Will Do

Actively coach, mentor, and grow the team, ensuring a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing environment. Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement within the product team.

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key technology and production stakeholders across Netflix Product and Technology, Netflix Studio, Scanline VFX, Eyeline Studios, Netflix Animation Studio, and Netflix Series Animation.

  • Establish a shared vision with cross-functional and studio stakeholders and drive alignment on infrastructure and technology initiatives that have high leverage across our VFX and Animation studios.

  • Lead and oversee the team in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with studio goals and joint objectives. Actively prioritize efforts across your portfolio to maximize impact for Netflix.

  • Partner with peer Product teams to ensure cohesion of hybrid infrastructure with platforms and foundational systems like Identity & Access Management and Edge systems.

  • Develop regional infrastructure strategies that provide our VFX and Animation production teams with access to optimized resources tailored to meet the demands of cutting-edge VFX and Animation workflows and tools.

  • Balance short and long term perspectives, while relentlessly focusing on the best outcomes for the shows produced within Netflix’s VFX and Animation studios.

  • Communicate project timelines, updates, and roadmaps and maintain accountability on deliverables. Simplify efforts to ensure the broader organization understands our product strategy and roadmap, fostering transparency. Proactively seek diverse viewpoints to keep our focus on the most critical, strategic work.

  • Collaborate with Studio operational teams to roll out products and drive adoption.

What You Bring

  • Proven Leadership: 7+ years of product management experience and/or senior technology leadership experience (in VFX or Animation studios preferred) including managing people. You have a demonstrated ability to develop and inspire teams to achieve ambitious outcomes and a strong track record of providing mentorship and leadership to foster team development and success

  • Strategic Thinking & Communication: You’re a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator who excels in both written and verbal forms. You can clearly convey concepts and lead thoughtful discussions on strategic developments, decision-making, and progress. You can effectively communicate and translate between studio and technology partners and can manage a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision

  • Growth Mindset & High Attention to Detail: You bring a growth mindset and a high attention to detail, understanding how product capabilities and investments connect to broader team and company goals

  • Technical Prowess: You bring a healthy blend of technical knowledge with a production-focused mindset and empathy for creative users.
