Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure infrastructure and DevOps practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, along with extensive experience in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and tooling.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps services for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to streamline the software delivery process and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Automate routine tasks and processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of Azure-based applications and services.
- Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement of DevOps practices and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and tooling using Azure DevOps services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Excellent scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent, are advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Azure services (e.g., Azure Resource Manager, Virtual Machines, Storage, Active Directory) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
