As a Senior Golang Engineer at Playrix, you'll join the GameOps services team handling over 100k RPS. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Golang services, contributing to service architecture, addressing scaling and fault tolerance issues, and ensuring high code quality through testing. Team, about the role
We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to strengthen our GameOps services team. Our services handle a load of over 100k RPS.
You will be tasked with developing current services and writing new ones on the Golang, as well as working on the architecture and solving issues of scaling, fault tolerance, and monitoring.
Team: 9 Senior developers and a Tech Lead.
Tasks
Spliting the monolith involves decoupling critical functionalities from game backends into separate Golang services. Currently, we have over 10 such services.
Work with your team to organize all the necessary developer experience in Golang — microservice templates, SDK, etc.
Developing services for various gaming projects and tools for game management
Participating in the design of service architecture
Ensuring high quality through unit/integration tests
Assisting in technical interviews and defining hiring standards for engineers on your team
5+ years of experience in developing Golang services from scratch
Experience in architecture development: creating services, describing database schemas
Ensuring high-quality code development through unit and integration tests
Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases, ability to design database structures
Understanding of network operations at a basic level (TCP/IP, DNS)
Preferred
Experience developing high-load applications
Experience in developing Python REST services for over a year, with a focus on working with asynchronous frameworks, particularly FastAPI
User-level skills in working with AWS and Docker
Skills in working with orchestrators (Nomad, K8s)
