Summary

This role involves building and maintaining KDB microservices for a centralized sales and trading platform in the banking and capital markets industry. The ideal candidate will have strong KDB and Q language proficiency, experience automating delivery pipelines, and familiarity with Qspec. The position requires designing and developing complex microservices with minimal guidance and excellent communication skills.

Project description

Our client in banking and capital markets industry is building a centralized platform for its sales and trading business vertical.

FICC Technology Team is seeking a strong Java low latency developer to build the Next Generation Market Data Plant which will ingest, collect and disseminate market data and perform order execution with the lowest possible latency. In addition, market data will be distributed to internal applications via publish/subscribe and other well-known industry mechanisms

Responsibilities

Build and maintain KDB microservice based applications across multiple locations

Create and update automated reporting based of KDB stored data.

Work with java dev team to develop and implement new models for algo trading as well as reports based off trading activity.

Troubleshoot issues faced by quants/traders in a real time trading environment.

Build and maintain tools, to industrialize support of a cutting-edge in-house trading platform.

Skills

Must have

-Proficiency in KDB and Q language for handling time series data.

-Experience in automating the delivery pipelines and building a self-resilient platform.

-Familiarity with Qspec testing framework.

-Capability of designing and developing complex micro services based on business requirements with little to no external guidance.

Strong communication skills

Nice to have

Prior experience in fin domain

Java knowledge
