Job Summary
ByteDance seeks a Software Development Engineer specializing in SDN Traffic Intelligence & Control to join their team. Responsibilities include building software control systems for network resource management (especially long-haul bandwidth), developing host/gateway network traffic monitoring and control capabilities, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure bandwidth and performance for various business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong networking background, solid software development skills, deep understanding of routing protocols, and experience with container techniques for network emulation. A PhD in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field is required, along with proficiency in Go, C++, or Python and in-depth knowledge of networking protocols and the TCP/IP stack.

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
