Microsoft's Industry Solutions team seeks Solution Area Specialists in Hong Kong. Responsibilities include strategic account planning, relationship management with clients and partners, accelerating cloud growth, and orchestrating account teams. The role requires driving cloud adoption, closing deals, and exceeding revenue targets. Candidates need strong technology sales experience, a deep understanding of the Hong Kong market, and the ability to build and maintain C-level relationships. The ideal candidate will contribute to Microsoft's One Microsoft strategy, aligning Consulting and Partner strategies.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience OR 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
6+ years solution or services sales experience. Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years technology-related sales or account management experience OR 9+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

 

 

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning:

Leads the Account and Consulting teams to create a strategic approach for accounts in Hong Kong. Provides insights and recommendations to address customer priorities and Microsoft objectives specific to the Hong Kong market. Contributes to the One Microsoft strategy, aligning Consulting and Partner strategies in the region. Uses tools and methodologies to position modernization and digital transformation outcomes, aligned with local customer priorities. Understands competitor solutions in Hong Kong and uses this knowledge in strategy and planning. Defines Industry Solutions sales priorities and provides input to the overall account plan. Identifies actions to develop Consulting opportunities aligned with account and Microsoft strategies. Leads Consulting input to account-team planning sessions and updates governance and rhythms. Understands revenue drivers and aligns plans accordingly. Thinks strategically about account planning, setting standards and priorities, engaging decision makers, and anticipating needs to turn enterprise accounts into strategic accounts.


Relationship Management:
Manages customer and partner relationships in Hong Kong, influencing key decision makers and maintaining effective connections. Builds relationships with Microsoft decision makers in the region and leverages them for customer and partner success. Keeps track of project statuses and maintains proactive dialogue with customers. Anticipates and addresses issues to improve customer experience. Facilitates CXO connections to enable direct feedback and develop executive relationships. Strengthens relationships with Microsoft partner teams and drives customer engagement. Leads overall account teams and partner groups.

Accelerate Cloud Growth:
Maintains knowledge of customer business priorities, risks, challenges, industry trends, and regulations in Hong Kong. Connects with industry experts in the region to build knowledge and connections. Drives customer conversations about Microsoft Cloud adoption and provides feedback on go-to-market scenarios. Educates decision makers on Microsoft's value proposition and differentiates from competitors. Identifies and engages key influencers. Leads and closes strategic cloud opportunities, drives advanced workloads, and accelerates Microsoft Cloud differentiation. Increases customer business value with advanced technology and drives consumption.

Account Team Orchestration:
Coordinates consulting-sales relationships with the account team, ensuring successful account plan execution and customer experience in Hong Kong. Orchestrates across teams to ensure customer success and satisfaction. Champions the One Microsoft methodology.

Deal Excellence:
Confirms Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline (BANT) information to progress leads into opportunities. Uses customer relationships to expand thinking and secure consulting resources. Focuses on high-impact opportunities and builds close plans for deals. Gains consensus from the account team and executes customer-centric actions. Maintains accurate sales information and delivers on forecast recommendations. Drives negotiation discussions and maintains productive relationships. Ensures smooth transition to delivery-led accountabilities and supports delivery aspects. Meets Revenue-based incentive (RBI) targets and contributes to team success. Identifies repeatable intellectual property for scaling solutions and growing market share in Hong Kong.
