Job Description

The Unified Solution Specialist at Microsoft will lead and contribute to the company's digital transformation initiatives for enterprise customers and partners. Responsibilities include acting as a thought leader, advising customers on digital transformation strategies, identifying and removing deployment blockers, building stakeholder relationships, driving sales planning and orchestration, leveraging competitor knowledge, and managing end-to-end sales and delivery success. The role requires strong sales execution, collaboration, technical expertise, and sales excellence skills. This role is hybrid, allowing for up to 50% remote work. The specialist will help customers realize value from Microsoft Cloud solutions across various areas like Modern Work, Security, Business Applications, Infrastructure, Data and AI, and Application Innovation.
Must have:
  • 7+ years technology sales/account management OR Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience
  • Japanese fluency/English business level
  • Solution/services sales experience
  • Drive customer value and cloud consumption
  • Manage end-to-end sales and delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management
Good to have:
  • 4+ years solution or services sales experience

Overview

In the Support Sales team we are looking for passionate, experienced, and credible specialist sellers with a drive for developing and winning strategic opportunities that deliver end-to-end Unified thought leadership driving significant customer value and enabling transformational customer outcomes. 

 

As a Unified Solution Specialist, you will be working in a team of Specialized sales resources to provide and sell the best-in-class support offerings to our Enterprise customers, contributing to build the momentum for digital transformation for our customers and partners as well as Microsoft itself. The Unified Specialist will lead by example towards the specialized Unified sales and delivery resources, drive new business throughout the area territories and work on building upsell and cross sell engines together with the area Account teams and Solution Area teams. You will help customers realize value through Unified from the Microsoft Cloud across customer solution areas like Modern Work, Security, Business Applications, Infrastructure, Data and AI, and Application Innovation.

Qualifications

  • Required/Minimum Qualifications
    • Japanese fluency / English business level
    • 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • Additional or Preferred Qualifications
    • 4+ years solution or services sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution – Acts as a thought leader across solution areas to advise customers across business functions on digital transformation, identifies opportunities to ensure rapid and robust deployment and create business value for customers by identifying and facilitating removal of blockers to consumption by partnering with internal and external stakeholders. Builds and leverages external stakeholders' mapping to identify and engage senior business subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business.
  • Scaling & Collaboration – Leads Support Sales Planning & Orchestration to drive customer value and enable cloud consumption through co-terminus and enhanced solutions. Proactively drive engagements and deal closure by identifying and aligning internal stakeholders across all commercial solution areas as well as leveraging and expanding relationships with partners.
  • Technical Expertise – Leverages and shares competitor knowledge across solution areas as a subject matter expert and implements strategies to position Microsoft against competitors in customer communication. Holistic value of MSFT platform and solutions to evaluate opportunities and make recommendatios on pursuit or withdrawal.
  • Sales Excellence –Manages the end-to-end sales and delivery success of the assigned area; conducts forecasting for accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan to drive intentional selling aligned with strategic priorities aimed at maintaining levels of customer satisfaction. Engages with stakeholders on business analysis and planning and contributes to exploring business and emerging opportunities to optimize the portfolio and support customer innovation.
