About the team and the role:

eBay is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help design, shape, and drive product solutions for eBay's Payment and Billing Platform. This person will drive payment opportunities at eBay to grow the business and reduce costs, provide world class frictionless user experience and require balance of global consistency and efficiency with a design to compete locally in markets around the world.

Developing a platform to support multiple geographies carries with it many challenges. You will have previously developed global product strategies that enable and drive innovation and go-to-market efficiency, and understand the nuances of building out product functionality while maintaining operational flexibility. A focus on internal customer needs is critical to success. They will work closely with in-country and regional business leaders, product and domain leads to identify and build core capabilities, improve utility of features common to multiple partners, and efficiently solve for local functionalities critical to market success. Additionally, they have a demonstrated ability to establish relationships and influence across the organization at all levels, as well as possess superior communication and presentation abilities.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead product vision and roadmaps across technology components. Clearly set the product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms.

  • Work closely with business partners to prioritize and integrate various forms of payments, ensuring a seamless and cost-effective payment experience for our users such as Wallets, BNPL, and Cards.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments including Development, Business, Legal, Privacy, and Money Movement, as well as international teams.

  • Gain in-depth payment experience (technical, legal, biz dev) as you work with numerous payment providers around the globe.

  • Co-lead the Agile scrum team with the engineering counterpart to complete a roadmap with clear achievements.

  • Synthesize market changes and technology improvements into practical improvements for the platform.

What you will bring:

  • 6-9 years experience of technical product management, preferably for eCommerce products

  • Strong technical background to understand and contribute to the design of the payment solutions

  • Solid financial and analytical abilities, experience in translating complex business issues into clear goals and product requirements.

  • Strong experience in payments domain is a bonus.

  • Experience working with International markets and in developing software for multiple geographies.

  • Ability to shift from developing and communicating a strategy to executing in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
