The Disney Decision Science + Integration (DDSI) is a consulting team that supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Experiences, Disney Cruise Line, Media Networks (i.e. ABC, ESPN), Studio Entertainment, Disney Theatrical Group (e.g., Broadway shows), and Disney Interactive Media. They provide support in with yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing, and optimization. Key partners to the DDSI organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research, and Operations. We develop, analyze, and execute strategies to maximize profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders. The team leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to explore opportunities, shape business decisions and drive business value.
In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Project Management - Business & Portfolio Optimization. The team works in office in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

What You’ll Do
Project Manager – Provide coordination for the project management function for department initiatives and projects to include the planning and management of scope, timelines/plans, risks and quality management across all five areas phases of the project: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control and project closeout.
Project Management Advocate - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and other information beneficial to the project management function and leverage that knowledge to improve projects. Provide administrative support as needed for PMO-related financial/operational activities.
Act as a project management advocate developing standards, processes, and tools to enhance the project management and financial operations within the department. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and other information beneficial to the project management function and leverage that knowledge to improve projects. Provide support as needed for PMO-related financial and operational activities.
Financial Management – Provide support for annual capital planning and forecasts. Monitor and distribute project financials to ensure accuracy of budget tracking. Provide operational support for monthly forecasts and other financial-related requests and issues from Tech and Finance partners.
Communicator – Proactively communicate with the project team regarding project changes, issues affecting the execution of deliverables, and the expectations for completing each task. Provide central coordination and communication for the team through the duration of assigned projects.
Facilitator & Presenter – Facilitate project meetings to ensure the objectives of the meeting are met. Present work in the form of presentations that tell a clear and compelling story about the status of the project as formulated by the collective project team.
Efficiency Advocate: Identify efficiency opportunities within a given project and potentially challenging existing processes to continuously seek improved project initiation, planning, execution, and implementation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years providing project management support for projects and initiatives from feasibility through deployment.
Knowledge and practical experience with the financial AOP life cycle
Familiar with financial terms and activities
Proficient with project management tools, including: Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project, Teams, Confluence
Interact with internal and external peers and managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities
Lead and maintain departmental centralization programs & initiatives
Demonstrate early ability to influence internally and externally
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional Certification
Previous experience with project & portfolio management (demand intake, resource management/forecasting, strategic planning and prioritization with senior leadership, develop and communicate metric driven dashboards)
Familiarity of Disney business domain knowledge
Knowledge of the travel and hospitality industry
Familiarity with statistics, industrial engineering, marketing and sales, pricing, or revenue management analytics
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience supporting technical development projects
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
